Sibley Labs
After over 20 years of working in industrial and institutional settings, Robert Sibley witnessed numerous back injuries resulting from trash removal. In an effort to reduce injury and avoid workman comp claims, Robert invented and patented the PortaSafe® system. The PortaSafe® system provided an ergonomic solution to trash removal with its easy to use design.
Sibley Labs continued to build upon the ergonomic innovation of the PortaSafe® system by implementing color-coded lids and bags, allowing it to grow into fully functional recycling station. Several customers utilize the PortaSafe® system, including Chrysler FCA, General Motors, Ford Motor Company, University of Michigan Hospitals, Caterpillar, Waste Management, and many more throughout the US and Canada.
Today, Sibley Labs is owned and operated by Kathleen Sibley and has been recognized as a Certified Women Owned business since 2001. Sibley Labs is dedicated to working with other women, minority, and veteran-owned small businesses.
PortaSafe® products have always and will continue to be made in the USA.
